Tridacna Clam / Lighting

Ok i went to the LFS today, and bought a Mandrin goby. While I was at the store my wife observed a fresh arival of Trifacna Clams. For the first time in this hobby my wife actually wants something. My dilema… I do not currently have enough lighting to house the beauty, so we left without purchasing it.

What i currently have is a Current USA 48" Power Compact 50/50 (2x65w?) over a 55 gallon tank. However, I have a few options here. I have a current Nova Extreme t5HO 4x24w (24") ballast in storage that i can use in conjunction with the current (no pun intended) fixture, and purchase another one for the other side of the tank, OR I could purchase a 48" t5 HO 2x58w to use in conjunction with it. WHats your take? I want to avoid MH due to the start up cost, and monthly electric bill.

However, If these options i have listed are not able to substain the life of the clam, i just wont purchase it. Im looking for honest adivice based on lighting.
