I also have an AquaC EV 180 skimmer. This skimmer is modified to fit a union on the gate valve. Makes it easy to remove from sump. The Skimmer is missing the Collection cup. You can buy the Collection cup from AquaC or ebay for aorund $50. Im also selling the skimmer with the 5 liter Auto Waste Collector and Mag 7 pump. The Mag 7 pump is modified to fit a one 1" PVC.

I purchased the coralife super skimmer 65gal in february and have had no problems. I clean out the cup weekly, never overflows. I clean the pump every 3 weeks. On saturday I dumped out the cup and rinsed it out like I always have. But when I plugged it back in, the collection cup filled up almost immediately with white bubbles and clear water. Normally i could see through the big main chamber, under the cone where the bubbles first come out. But now almost the entire main chamber is filled with bubbles and i cannot see through it at all. I have turned the water level adjustment dial very slowly to the closed and open positions and still cant get the collection cup to stop filling up so fast. I’ve been reading forums about this and have tried cleaning the bubble diffuser and pulling up the black sponge…nothing seems to work. One forum said that i need to adust the "Needle wheel adjusment valve (above the water pump)". I don’t seem to have this on my skimmer. I looked up the coralife instruction manual pdf file and it has a section in it for the needle wheel adjustment valve, but my inst. manual that came with my skimmer does not have this section.

Can someone please help me?

Question. I have a 20 gallon nano reef. Had it up and running for about 4-5 months now. I have been running a reef octupus skimmer hang on the back, says it"s good for up to 90 gallons. Great skimmer. At least it used to be. ANyway it took me awhile to get it dialed in. Meaning by raising and lowering the colection cup till I found a good setting with the water level to where I needed to empty pretty dark liquid every 3 days or so. And then that would only be like a halfway filled. But all of a sudden like overnight that level where the collection cup was it now gets filled with clear bubbles and water in 12 hours. So I dumped that out and raised the collection cup up. Again filled with clear bubbles and water. Raised it up again. Same thing again. My collectin cup will soon be off of the skimmer. I cant raise it anymore. What went wrong all of a sudden. I didnt do anything different. What would make this skimmer make bubbles so high up on the skimmer. It worked great before. Thanks

i recently bought a poseidon 200 and am out of my league i guess i can not find any direct instructions or anyone at the company that produces the item to show me the way to safely incorperate it into my system, i am using a bubble king skimmer and it has a ozone nibble on the inlet to connect to and now what do i connect or do?

i know to attach the hose to the skimmer but what else do i need,? a pump to add air in the inlet of the ozone unit?
your input would be helpful and mean the the world to me and help me not destrory all the work i have done to get this far with my reef tank.

My anemone died in my tank and by the time i got home only the base of the anemone was left knowing that when an anemone dies it releases toxins i reset the tank by cleaning it and making all new fresh saltwater and new live sand. I also cleand the filter, the skimmer, and the powerhead. The only thing that survived the disaster was my maroon clownfish and a couple of hermit crabs, my question is can I put my maroon and the hermits back in my freshly setup tank???

I have a 6 month old 75g with a 65 Watt power glo and a 65 Watt marine glo, For filtration I am running a fluval g6. Should I be running at least a 220 gallon protein Skimmer. I don’t have a Skimmer yet.
I would also like to no if I need a power head or two and why.
