Squishy rock (live rock hitchhiker) help! (pics)

I recently bought some live rock that originated in Florida. At first I thought I was lucky and this was some pretty quartz embedded in the rock. However, when I touched it, I found it was squishy (but firm) and super smooth. It gives only slightly (I didn’t push too hard!) like a ripe fruit.

Could it be an egg sac or some kind of coral? It looks like there are possibly things inside.
