Skimmers are the spawn of the devil!
I went out at the weekend and bought a piece of tubing to hook up my skimmer, i plumbed it all in, then started it up, now instead of my water being 3: below trhe top of my tank i can at last get a full tank, my problem is that i can’t get the water level in the tank and the sump to balance out, i am using a ball valve to try to adjust the level but either the pump is pumping too much water and the sump slowely empties or it doesn’t pump enough and the sump fills up and the water level drops in the tank depending on where i set the ball valve, so i’m going back to the Fluval power filter!
