Skimmer Help: too much foam
I have a Aqua C remora on my tank. It had been running for about a month. I put some corals in my tank and used a little bit of epoxy to stick the corals to the rock and the box said to turn off the skimmer for 36 hours because it may cause excessive foam. well it has now been 3 weeks and i cant run my skimmer because it fills the collection cup with water in a matter of 30 seconds and starts to overflow thousands of bubbles into the tank and not the little micro bubbles that appear when you first break the skimmer in but big bubbles. it almost seems like there is a crack in the plastic divider somewhere but i took everything apart and everything seems normal. I have been thinking that maybe this skimmer is defective for some reason and maybe i should buy a new one. but i do not want to buy a new one if it is just going to foam like crazy also. is there something i am not understanding here? the box of epoxy says it may cause excessive foam for 36 hours but damn, its been more than 3 weeks and i still cant run my skimmer.
