Hello im new to salteater,
I just purchased a new 58 gallon aquarium i got on a extremely good deal. The part that sucks is it is such a high quality aquarium that the center of the top of the tank has a crossmember made up of 10mm glass and the tank was made for canister filters only. The whole problem is that there are only 2 divets on the back for the inlet and outlet of a canister filter. I need a protien skimmer and do not have the room for a HOB. I do not have a sump nor can i drill the tank. So i was looking at this Coralvue DNWB-110 recirculating filter. (
http://www.coralvue.com/RecirculatingSkimmers.html ) It says that it can be pumped into the skimmer or plumbed from an overflow. Does this mean i can pump water directly from my tank into the the skimmer? I cannot find anything stating if it has to come from a sump or level source or if it can be set lower and pumped down into it. Any help will be much appreciated. I can add pictures if needed.
