Hello everyone, I am in some serious need of some help. Ill try to give you as much detail and still try to keep this short. I have always been a freshwater guy until here recently (Monday). I found an ad for a 155 saltwater tank full setup, business was shutting doors and he had two saltwater tanks for a steal of a price. So I went and took down one of the tanks that I bought, and he insisted that I take the fish because he was going to just flush them. I ended up with the fish, I have not much of a clue about what I am doing. So I have been talking to some of the reputable fish stores in town, and they are a little help but I need some quick answers so that I can keep the fish alive. They are in a plastic tote with about 15-18 gallons of there original water, and I have a air pump with a bubble stone sitting in there to help keep oxygen, I have been doing a partial water change daily to keep fresh water in there, and they seem to be doing ok. Here’s where I really need you guys, I now have the tank setup, bought live sand have water and salt correct mixture, its been running almost 24 hours. Did all my testing and everything is almost optimum according to everything I have been reading. My biggest deal is that the tank is still pretty cloudy after running all night and most of the day, it has gotten better but im not real sure as far as the built in filter stuff goes. The tank is about 10-12yrs old and I cant seem to find any kind of name on the filter to make sure it is setup correctly. I took some pictures of the filter, any help would be good, Like the return pump is just kind of floating and it seems like it should be attached to something so that it filters off the bottom to pull more water into the filter. Any help would be great, feel free to even call me Shane @ 817-629-9718 Thanks!
PS I cannot figure out how to attach the pics.. I will email them to someone if you think that you can help. Thanks!
