Need some input and suggestions.

Long story short. I’m moving. Was that short enough?

Here’s some details and the request for suggestions.

I have a 65 gal that has matured and grown out nicely over the past few years (thanks largely to assistance from reeflounge…a shameless plug but true nonetheless). I also possess a 36 bow-front and a 12 gal (formerly my quarantine tank).
The new house is going to need some work before a final home can be found for the 65 gal and I’d rather not move it again and again (not good for me or the livestock). Not to mention, especially to the wife, that I am planning a fish room and intend to upgrade to larger tanks (yes the plural was intentional) and turn the 65 into a big ol’ sump.
Luckily, I’ll be able to get into the new place 2 months before I have to move out of my current home.

So here’s my thinking: I was planning on setting up the 36 with the 12 as a sump as temporary housing. I know 2 months to “age” is not a long time at all, but I had intended to use sand, rock and water from my display to “seed” it. Then move the livestock (fish, coral, inverts) over the course of a few days. When that’s done, move my current sump over and “piggy-back” it to the new system so that there will be more room for the rest of my LR (I suspect that I am going to have to lose some…not happy).

Here come the questions:
Is this an asinine plan?
What would you recommend?
How long do you think the temporary housing can last before tragedy strikes?
I’m going to need an overflow…any suggestions?
What have I forgotten that you haven’t?

Thanks a bunch.
