Live Sand Help please

I’m getting back into the hobby again. I used to have a 130g with crushed shell as a base. I really have never worked with Live Sand so I have a few questions. I had bought some sand and ended up having a problem (leaking) with my piping on my 110g and didn’t get to put my sand in. The sand ended up with an oder so I’m sure it needs attending. The tank is running fine now, with 1600gph pump, and lighting up..

Question is, with this being a new tank (no fish, nothing). How do I help the sand cure, and could I put any fish in the tank. Is it safe to put sand shifters in yet?

The idea with the tank is to have brown bamboo sharks in it with little rock.. Other fish as well just not sure what yet.

Any ideas would be appreciated
