Live Rock PVC/Egg Crate Frames

Anyone doing this? I have been doing some research and want to create some overhangs but need to play first. Maybe a PVC frame with egg crate bases and mounting points? I have seen pictures of PVC frame and egg crate used separately but not together. Ideas, suggestions, etc.
