Live rock preservation

I’m tearing down my 55G saltwater tank as i simply don’t have the time to maintain it and it’s looking like shit, i have 2 12G’s, a 34G and 2 freshwater setups and that is quite enough to look after, i have a substantial amount of LR in the 55G which i would like to keep in the garage and let cure for a few months in case i want to set it up again at a later date, i am planning on letting everything on the rock die off since it is only Aptasia and a few odd zoa’s that i don’t care about, do i leave the rock to dry out completely or do i store it in a tub in the dark with saltwater a heater and power head?

Can you please advise the best way to go?
