lighting decision help
This is my first post here and I hope to have many more. I posted this on another forum but I figured some here may have some valuable input. As of now, I am leaning towards just using my VHO’s and adding two more to it for cost reasons. Let me know your opinions and thanks in advance….Here it is:
I am upgrading this:
to a 75g reef ready. I have built the sump, got the skimmer, and return pump. All that is left is deciding on lighting. I have an icecap 660 with 4 VHO’s.
I would have to build a canopy to put them in.
Now the question is what would be better. Should I:
1) Use what I have and add 2 just for super actinics.(suggested to me)
2) Get 2 MH retrofits and use two of the VHO’s I have

I currently have the 36" version of the light in #3. It is a great light and is very convenient with the built in digital timers.
I plan on doing a mixed reef just like I have now.
Please give me your input or opinions.
