Hypnotic Clove Polyps/Clavularia sp
I bought a 3-polyp frag in June 09 and it has turned into many polyps growing over the LR. I really like the looks of these things and would not mind them taking over a rock as you can see most of the LR underneath them. However they are starting to wrap themselves around the base/plugs of some corals ( birdsnest, staghorn) and I am wondering if they will harm these corals. So far they dont seem to cause a problem with the corals. They dont attach to the coral just the LR at the base of the corals. Have any of you had them, problem with them and other corals ? They were listed as "moderate’ aggressive when I bought them. I think if I tried to remove the polyps from some of the LR it would kill them.
