Green spikey round "thing" in saltwater tank?

I have a green spikey looking round "thing" attached to a rock with threads that come from it and attach to other parts of the rock. It’s been growing for 3-4 months or so and now is a little smaller than a large gumball. Wondering what it is and if I should remove it.
