Flooded the basement…
So… I turned on my rodi water last night to top off my 32 gallon trash can at about 8 pm. I went outside to wrench on my race car for an hour or two. Well, that turned out to be about 5 hours. Came back in to turn on the light to my refugium. Then went to the side of the tank to see if I could cover up the back so my refugium light would not shine out the back making it unattractive for my moon lighting, then I stepped on the the carpet and water came up through it. First thought was "Oh shit, my over flow hose is leaking!" I looked and nothing… Everything in the tank was normal. I scratch my head… "Oh shit, the rodi water!" So I went and turned that off.
Ok, so I didn’t really flood the basement, just the bathroom next to the fish tank and a little bit of the hall way. I dumped about 5 gallons on the floor. May not seem like much, but 5 gallons will cover a lot of surface area. LOL.
Time for a float valve…
