encrusting gorgonian not fully open
I’ve had this coral for years. I have been having difficulty getting it to fully open as it used to. My PH was a bit low (8.0). I’ve raised it to 8.3 using SeaChem Buffer. That has helped a bit, but it is about 1/4 to 1/2 open still. nitrates, phosphates and alkinity are all fine. Does anyone have any ideas? All other corals in the tank are doing well (zoos, shrooms (although they are not multiplying as much as they once did), bubble coral, hammer, monti-cap and regular gorgonian – which is fully open!). Light is not an issue (over 200w on 55). Algae is not bother them, at least directly.
