Cycling a Tank
ok so i have heard that putting a shrimp in a new tank w/ sand and lr will make it cycle faster and make the amonia spike happen quicker is this correct? do i have to use a salt water shrimp to do it?? (my local grocery stores only sell freshwater shrimp… or so they say..) so what do i do with the shrimp just let it rott in the water? is it better to just let the lr cycle the tank??? input please.
