Corallline algae is vanishing

Hey everyone this is probably simple for everyone but it hasn’t been for me. I have had a the tank now for 11 months and I know that I should see good coralline algea growth on my live rocks. Well I don’t! As a matter of fact, I bought a new rock just the other day and all of the purple algea that was on it is vanishing away. What the heck am I doing wrong? Everyone tells me that I should be getting good growth. I am using the B-ionic 2 part stuff everyday and my store even suggested that I can still use purple up about once or twice a week and not hurt anything. I perform water changes one a week test my water every other day, I just don’t know where to go from here? My setup is a 16g nano tank, I’m running a K2 Viper HQI 70w light, a marineland bio wheel power filter 200, and a protein skimmer that I have on order. My last water test showed my PH at 8.2, nitrate under 10 which I think is high, Calcium at 420, Ammonia at .25, and the Temp at 79. I just want good growth because I feeling that if I cant grow purple algea my tank will be worthless.
