I bought a gorgeous torch coral today, and its been in the tank now about 4 hours and still not opened up. while in this state I see what looks like a clam stuck between 2 of the corals ‘heads’ or ‘stalks, or ‘polyps’ whatever you call them. I did not see this at the LFS because the coral was in full bloom and ginormous.

Not sure how to upload photos yet, but it doesn’t look like a coral kind of clam. Maybe I should not call it a clam. It’s a 2 part shell thingee that is closed and turned away from me so i can only see the spine. The little of the mouth I can see appears to have some hair sticking out of it. can someone message me their email addy and I’ll send you a photo?

not sure if its alive or dead or a parasite or what. and its fairly big, its probably 2 inches.

thanks

ps: my clowns seem to have a crush on the torch. so happy!

The UFO is attached on the dorsal side of my fish. Looking close at the thing it looks to have two black eyes and At the other end of it there are two triangular "tails". Thanks for any help or advice. My computer will not allow me to upload my pictures. Very sorry I will try to get them up here.

I have no idea what this thing is.
It is attached to a piece of live rock I have had for over a year.
I have no idea why I haven’t noticed it before.

It is about 2" long and kinda looks like a bugle…you know, the snack, bugles.

The end of it appears to release spiderweb looking stuff that I first thought was hair algae.
Then I noticed it was coming from this bugle-looking thing.
Upon further inspection, I swear I can see 2 antenae coming out of the end of this thing.
When I put something in front of it, the antenae retract.

Attempts at a picture were not too successful

Any ideas?

Hi so i have 2 unknown slugs in my biocube. I wass able to finally get pica but cant post them yet but ill try to describe them. They look whitish with tan Marks ( kinds like a normal slug) but then has a hard plate on the back that looks like a light brick red. These slugs aren’t vibrant at all. I’ll post picks later today but are slugs good? Should I take them out? Or wait to see if someone knows what they are? I’ve tries to look and can find anything like them.

Thanks

I recently got a new piece of live rock and it is starting to come alive and things are moving. I would like to know what the yellow circle is surrounding and the blue circle is surrounded a pile of "dust" from within the rock. Something seems to be burrowing in it and it looks to have tentacles that remind me of spider web fibers. Any suggestions would help and photos of what they can turn into or be. Thank-you
