How can you tell if you need to replace your bulbs. Do you start getting algae growth (diatoms)? Also if there is a difference when you have a fowlr? Bulb replacement

Alright so i found some PCs and bulbs for cheaper than T-5s but i’ve heard that they fall out of spectrum fast, whats wrong with losing a bit of blue until you change the bulb? And also that they are incapable of keeping nems, is this true? if so im getting the t-5s or might bite the bullet and...

Hello all! Setting up a new 150 reef with 6 T5s in the hood. The tank is 24" deep with about 6" between the lights and the tank. Below is the setup I am looking at back to front. Any recommendations on changes? Tank will be mostly LPS, torch, frog, hammer. Some zoas and maybe later 1 or 2...
