burnt tips

i got some acros about 3 weeks ago and i started them out in the bottom of the tank. when i got them they were faded in color and looked brown. they colored up ok i guess. last week made 2 weeks in my tank on the bottom so i moved them up about middle of the tank and this week (witch makes 3 weeks in my tank) and one of them has started to get burt tips and the polyps are disappering. should i move it back to the sand bottom, or just give it some time?
