The crabs were alive, and still are after being transfered into my current tank. The snails were still alive, but I don’t think they are going to make it…
I’m pretty sure the coral is dead. The cult coral looks dead, but the polyps don’t really look dead. But after being in my main tank for hours with the lights on, none have opened up.
So, my question, is when do you really know when a coral is dead? At least for the polyps, I think they still have a chance. And also, what are the chances the live rock is dead? My plan right now is to place everything in a seperate tank with no substrate, let everything run for a week and monitor the tank conditions, make sure there isn’t a cycle going on.
I got a good deal on everything. Turns out there was about 45lbs live rock, a few crabs, possibly the coral, tank, stand and a 96w Coralife CF for $80. Came with a protein skimmer, but it’s one of those that you have to use an air pump for. Also had two extra single tube fluorescent fixtures for backup I guess.
