Adding corals to a new tank

A friend that is setting up their new tank asked me a question that I couldnt remember. She has a 240 gallon tank that is still cycling slightly. It has no fish or coral in there. The ammonia is still a bit high, .50. The tank has been set up for 2 weeks, and it was set up a year before that for someone else (but was abused). She does not want to add damsels to it because of their aggressive nature later on. The lights are not on the tank yet, because they are over the corals on the old tank. Her question is, when can she move the lights and corals over. She said the nitrates and nitrites are at zero. Besides time, is their anything else she can do to speed up the process?
