11 Dead fish in 15 days….help
Hi,
I am totally new to fish tanks, so I am sure that we are missing a basic step somewhere. I will try to give you as much info as I can. We have a 10 gallon tank kit that my daughter received as a gift, plus 15 fish:
1 plecostomus
4 black mollys
2 gold "mickey mouse"
8 Neon tetras

We have lost 2 black mollys, all 8 tetras and one of the mickey fish. We were told by the pet store that we did not have to salinate the tank but we did apply the water conditioner that came with the tank kit. We followed the set up instructions that came with the tank. My husband has more experience with fish so he set up the tank. The temperature is set at 78 degrees and we are feeding the fish twice a day with Tetramin. The remaining 4 fish we have are hanging out on the bottom of the tank and only moving to eat……any help would be great thanks!
